Meet the speakers

Anne-Charlotte Bournoville has been working in the European Commission since 1996. She has specialised in International Relations and, prior to her current position, she worked in several Directorates-General of the European Commission: Directorate-General for Enterprise and Industry (1996-1998), Directorate-General for External Relations (1998-2000), Directorate General for Energy and Transport (2000-2005), Directorate-General for Internal Market and Services (2006-2011) and the Joint Research Centre (2011-2013). She joined the Directorate-General for Energy in January 2014 and was the political assistant to Director-General Dominique Ristori from January 2014 to April 2017.

Anne-Charlotte Bournoville graduated from the University of Panthéon-Assas in Paris (1991), the Institute of Political Studies in Paris (1993) and from the College of Europe in Bruges (1994).

 

Brian L. Kelly is vice president of government affairs for Sempra Energy. In this role, he leads Sempra Energy’s global public policy priorities. Kelly has extensive experience in public policy and government affairs. Most recently, he was founder and president of BK Strategies, a strategic and tactical consulting firm based in Washington, D.C. At BK Strategies, Kelly managed a diverse client list, including large multinational companies and foreign governments, with a focus on enhancing the organizations’ goals and expanding business opportunities. Previously, Kelly served as senior director of America’s Natural Gas Alliance. As senior director, Kelly directed legislative and public policy for the natural gas industry’s largest independent producers at the federal, state and local levels.

Prior to that, Kelly served as senior director of Comcast Corporation, managing legislative and policy efforts for the company. He has also previously served as senior vice president of global government affairs and communications for the Electronic Industries Alliance, director of government affairs for the Walt Disney Company, and director of legislative affairs for the National Association of Broadcasters.

Kelly holds a bachelor’s degree in public administration from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama.

 

Fred H. Hutchison is the President and CEO of The US LNG Association (“LNG Allies”). An advocate, communicator, and entrepreneur, Fred has been a government and public relations generalist for more than four decades and is a trusted adviser to private and public sector leaders worldwide.

Early in his career, he was a legislative assistant for energy and natural resources for U.S. Sen. Frank Church and earned a B.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
